Step back in time in this authentic 'mid-century modern' bungalow overlooking Picton Bay and located on three acres of park-like setting on the outskirts of town. This cottage accommodates a maximum of 6 persons age 10 and over, additional sleeping for 2 more persons age 9 and under (local by-law 4518-2019). Cleaning and linens are included. With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a spacious living room, and a billiards room, The Cove View is a great location for family gatherings and get-togethers with friends. Picton is a short drive away for supplies and restaurants and there are several wineries and breweries in the area to tour. The beach bums in the group will look forward to visiting the nearby Sandbanks beaches and two beach passes are provided for your convenience. And at the end of the day, you can look forward to coming home to air-conditioned comfort.
The living and dining area features large floor to ceiling windows that capture the scenic view of the bay. This spacious area features a vaulted ceiling and plenty of original woodwork from the mid-century period, as do all of the rooms in this bungalow. The bathrooms feature original fixtures - in pink and blue! From the lower level, you can access a large patio with a wonderful water view, and this area also provides a great spot for grilling dinner and dining al fresco! Perhaps in the evening guests will enjoy watching a movie on the TV or playing a game of pool in the billiards room. Downtown Picton is only a 10-minute walk away for daytime shopping or evening entertainment.
While you're visiting the area, take advantage of the wonderful scenery, country roads, sand dunes, beaches, golf courses, fishing, festivals and farm markets that Prince Edward County offers. Enjoy a day of tasting and discovery at local wineries and fine dining establishments. Visit the museums, theatre, art galleries, artisans, and antique shops that abound. And it's conveniently close to Toronto (2.5 hours), Ottawa (3 hours), and Montreal (4 hours) so visit as often as you like.
