Come stay at Britannia House where City meets County at this beautifully restored, upscale century home in Cherry Valley, Prince Edward County, on the curve of spring-fed East Lake. This cottage accommodates 6 persons age 10 and over with additional sleeping for 3 more persons age 9 and under (local by-law 4518-2019). Cleaning and linens are included. LINENS & CLEANING ARE INCLUDED, however before checkout, ALL guests are expected to do their dishes, remove all food, take out the garbage/recycling, move items back to original spots, and to leave the cottage tidy

Sheets, towels, bath mats, kitchen linens, pillows, & blankets are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

Toilet paper, paper towels, salt/pepper, dish soap and dishwasher detergent, garbage/recycling bags, and BBQ propane are supplied

TWO beach passes are included for use during your stay

Guests are expected to bring their own personal supplies such as bath soap and shampoo. A hairdryer is provided

Drinking Water: You are provided a water cooler with complementary jugs of water during your stay. If you're using the tap water however, the water supply comes from a well, therefore Ontario water regulations advise that you boil it before using it for drinking.

Available year-round, Britannia House is pet-friendly and features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a washer and dryer, two large flat-panel LCD TVs (one Smart) with DVD players, Wi-Fi, Netflix, Crave, (no cable/satellite service), Bluetooth speaker, air-conditioned upstairs, a propane BBQ and an outdoor fire pit for evening campfires with six Muskoka chairs.

Giant sand dunes and white beaches are a 10 minute drive away at Sandbanks Provincial Park (we include two beach passes with your rental, to cover two vehicles). In the winter, Sandbanks has great trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Britannia House is equally close to the County’s main town of Picton, with its supermarkets, LCBO, restaurants, cafes, boutique shopping and the Regent Theatre.

Prince Edward County is two hours east of Toronto, 2.5 hours southwest of Ottawa and 4 hours west of Montreal. Stay in Britannia House to visit our wineries for tours and tastings, explore our beautiful scenery, cycle our country roads, visit our golf courses or do some fishing. And be sure not to miss the roadside farm stands and farmers’ markets! Known for its exceptional food, the County has many wonderful restaurants and cafes to choose from in Wellington, Bloomfield, Picton, Waupoos, and Lake-on-the-Mountain. You might want to stop for brunch at the iconic Drake by the Lake (Drake Devonshire) before you visit museums, art galleries, artisan and antique shops—or maybe attend a professional theatre production or music festival.

Separate formal dining room off of the kitchen with a large table that seats 8 comfortably.

Living Room

Formal living room is a quiet space, situated at the front of the house. It features a small sectional sofa with queen pull out bed and a large hutch and TV.

Family room with a vaulted ceiling is at the back of the house has a patio door to the deck. Enjoy watching Netflix on the Smart TV on the large sectional sofa.

Other Rooms

Cozy reading nook off of the formal living room offers a nice place to enjoy your favorite novel, or an area for the kids to play.
