Vacation in comfort in the centrally located village of Bloomfield! This spacious three bedroom century home has tons of character and plenty of space which makes it perfect for gatherings of families and friends. Whether you're dining al fresco on the back deck, relaxing on the deck, or sipping on a coffee in the screened sun porch, you'll relish every moment that you spend at DeGroffe House (c.1881). One of only two heritage-designated buildings in Bloomfield. Built by master builder William Henry Degroffe, who designed many of the architecturally significant homes in Bloomfield. There's plenty of outdoor space too, in the large one acre yard. You're less than a 20 minute drive to the Sandbanks Provincial Park.

Take a stroll into the village downtown where you'll find a variety of restaurants, cafes & tearooms, an ice cream shop, boutiques, artisan studios, antiques, public library, and a bank. Take your dog out on a country walk!  The Millennium Trail is easily accessible from nearby Stanley Street where there's also a farm market with fresh local produce. Families will appreciate the Bloomfield Mill Pond and the Bloomfield Park with a playground, outdoor theatre, and tennis courts with evening lighting.

While you're visiting the area, take advantage of the wonderful scenery & country roads, sand dunes & beaches, golf courses & fishing, festivals & farm markets that Prince Edward County offers.

Enjoy a day of tasting and discovery at local wineries and fine dining establishments. Visit the museums, theatre, art galleries, artisans, and antique shops that abound. play a round of golf, explore the 800 km of shoreline surrounding this island community, hike the Sandbanks trails, or tour the County on bicycle. You'll also find that it's conveniently close to Toronto (2 hours), Ottawa (3 hours), and Montreal (4 hours) so you can visit as often as you like.

  • Sheets, towels, bath mats, kitchen linens, pillows, & blankets are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
  • Garbage and recycling must go to curb on pick up days, information will be provided on booking. Tags for garbage will be provided.
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, salt/pepper, dish soap and dishwasher detergent, garbage/recycling bags, and BBQ propane are supplied for a month stay, but for longer stays, you will need to replenish supplies as they run out.
  • TWO beach passes are included for use during your stay starting in the spring of 2023
  • Guests are expected to bring their own personal supplies such as bath soap and shampoo. A hairdryer is provided.
  • Drinking Water: The water supply is municipally treated so it should be safe for drinking.
  • Pets allowed, maximum of 2 for an extra pet fee. $75/week/pet or $16/night/pet
  • Guests must be at least 25 years of age to make a booking
  • Check-in 4:00 pm; Check-out 11:00 am
  • Payment Options: Preferred method of payment is e-transfer, however a PayPal invoice can be provided where you have the option of paying by most major credit cards or by visa debit. Please note that a 3% fee applies to PayPal payments. If booked through Airbnb, major credit cards are accepted.

  • Cancellation Policy: For any bookings made on or after the 2nd of March, 2023, DeGroffe House will now follow Airbnb's FIRM cancellation policy. Any bookings cancelled up to 30 days prior to the check in date, are not eligible for a refund. And if the booking is cancelled part way through the stay, you may be responsible for the nights stayed, plus an additional 30 nights. 
  • Rental Agreement: Upon booking, guests are given up to one week to review and accept a rental agreement issued by our agency
